ZenAM Shows Well-being Works Wonders and Raises Funds for Brainwave

NEW well-being event ZenAM has raised funds that will help Brainwave charity deliver specialist therapy sessions to families across the UK and provide aids needed for children to help them communicate independently.

Held in a magnificent tipi tent, the morning began with a yoga session hosted by Genius Yoga and a crystal bowl sound bath from Sound Sanctuary. This was followed with a refreshing smoothie and a talk from So Nutrition, as well as tips from Sarah Hall Coaching on how to maintain the feeling of calm.

Joanne Freeman, Brainwave’s national fundraising manager, joined in the activities and said:

“It was a wonderful morning and a pleasure to take part. We’re thrilled with the funds raised which will have a meaningful impact in our work supporting children with disabilities and additional needs.”

The event was created by public relations agency Spice PR as part of its charity programme and will support a different charity each year. With new research showing that over seven in 10 people (72%) are suffering from stress and/or anxiety, the aim is to help people focus on well-being and self-care.

The guests, spanning various ages and consisting of individuals, groups of friends and even a mother-and-daughter duo, all expressed high praise. Elaine from Cheshire said:

“It was really informative and I learned a lot of new things, especially about nutrition. I thought the yoga session was great! It was pitched at the right level for newcomers with options for those that are more experienced. I loved the sound bath too – that was a first for me and I’d definitely like to do it all again!”

With raffle prizes that included a personal nutrition plan, an hour of coaching and some top-of-the-range skincare and beauty products, it was a big draw! Additionally, the goody bags were packed with treats worth over £60, including a month’s worth of nutritional supplements from Bare Biology, keto bars from Fatt, adaptogenic coffee from London Nootropics (as featured on Dragon’s Den), an online wellbeing event with coaching, plus a scented candle and more.

Sound healing therapist Claire Brennan of Sound Sanctuary, one of the well-being experts said:

“It was a fantastic event and I loved being part of it. Movement, sound and nutrition are so important to our health, along with the right mindset, so it was the perfect combination of the key things to improve wellbeing on a physical and mental level.”

Charities interested in the programme can contact Spice PR or follow on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Twitter where the process for new nominations will be announced later in the year.
