YOUTH Futures Foundation is delighted to welcome Jason Arthur as our new Director of Strategy and Innovation.

Jason will be responsible for Youth Futures’ strategy, partnership development, policy influencing and communications. Previously he was Deputy Chief Executive of Step Up To Serve, the charity established to coordinate the #iwill campaign which encourages young people to participate in social action. Jason led on strategy and partnership development at Teach First and taught at two secondary schools in London. He also served as the Cabinet Member for Finance & Health for the London Borough of Haringey.

Jason commented:

“I am very excited to be joining Youth Futures. These are exceptionally challenging times for young people making the transition into the world of work, especially those facing discrimination or disadvantage. Our challenge is to build a coalition of support for systemic change and remove the barriers that prevent so many young people from getting good jobs, establishing careers and fulfilling their potential.”

Youth Futures Foundation Chief Executive, Anna Smee, commented:

“We are delighted that Jason is joining the Youth Futures Foundation. His ability to think strategically and tackle complex challenges, coupled with a wealth of experience as a champion for young people, make him the ideal person to drive forward our systems change work. Jason is absolutely committed to our vision of a society where all young people have the opportunity to access meaningful work, and we are excited to have him on the team.”
