WEST Kent Mind is seeking new trustees to join its board at an exciting time in the growth and development of the organisation.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on many people’s mental health, and there has been significantly increased demand for all West Kent Mind’s services, including counselling, support programmes, and social & community well-being groups. It is anticipated that this demand for services and support will continue to increase over the next weeks, months and years ahead. West Kent Mind’s intention is to provide the right support, at the right time, in the right way to ensure no one in the West Kent community experiences a mental health problem alone.
To continue providing this support, the charity must raise significant levels of funding and continue to evolve to become a sustainable organisation.
West Kent Mind is recruiting new trustees to join its passionate and committed board, to support the charity’s governance and overall strategic direction. The charity is looking for people who can help to realise ambitious plans and who are able to positively support the organisation as it embarks on a programme of transformation.
In particular, West Kent Mind is keen to hear from applicants with background, skills and experience in any of the following areas:
- IT systems
- Marketing, digital media and PR
- Charity finance
- Experience in engaging diverse communities
This is a voluntary, unpaid role with a time commitment of 4 hours per month.
Full details of the application process can be found on the website www.westkentmind.org.uk/jobs-at-west-kent-mind.
The deadline for applications is Thursday 6 May 2021
