CHARITY wellbeing event ZenAM has raised funds that will help ADHD UK in its mission of providing advocacy and support for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and those around them.
Set in a spectacular tipi tent, the serene morning featured a carefully curated programme of wellbeing activities. A gentle yoga session, led by Genius Yoga, was followed by a crystal bowl sound bath with Sound Sanctuary. There was also an introduction to reflexology and then tips from life coach Sarah Hall to help maintain the feeling of wellbeing.
Henry Shelford, CEO of ADHD UK said:
“The message of self-care and taking some time to recharge applies to everyone, so this is a lovely way to support our charity. We’re very grateful for the funds which ZenAM has raised to further our work providing advocacy and awareness of ADHD, which affects over 2.6 million people in the UK.”
The guests, of all ages, included individuals and groups, men and women, friends and family – with three sisters from Cheshire attending together. There was also a visit from ADHD UK advocate the UK’s National Junior Miss Cheshire, Savannah Henshaw, aged 14 from Warrington, who is helping to raise awareness of ADHD and the impact it can have on young people’s lives.
Wellbeing expert Elaine Cannon of Reflexology with Elaine said:
“It was a brilliant day! I did a practical demonstration of technical reflexology with one volunteer and some simple hand reflexology for all the guests – they found it fascinating. Reflexology is great for supporting wellbeing and reducing stress and that’s what ZenAM is all about.”
The raffle prizes included reflexology sessions, a life coaching session, a luxury gift box of sleep products, top of the range skincare and beauty treats, plus a personalised nutrition test from the experts at Manchester-based clinic So Nutrition.
Guests took home goody bags filled with premium wellbeing products, as well as some special treats from Fatt and London Nootropics.
One returning guest said:
“ZenAM has such a peaceful energy. I always learn something new and leave feeling calmer, more focused and more connected.”
Created by Spice PR as part of its annual charity programme, ZenAM supports a different cause each year. Spice PR’s Dee Gallagher said:
“ZenAM is a great way to give back and support charities whilst also providing the chance for people to unwind and enjoy a wonderful morning of wellbeing. Thanks to all who made this year’s event such as success.”
