VisionPK has launched its first-ever charity Christmas cards just in time for the festive season.
The cards have been designed especially for VisionPK by local Perth artist Catherine Connacher. Catherine’s family are friends of the charity with Catherine’s grandmother having been a long term client of the organisation.
She said:
“I like to support a local charity at Christmas time with my artwork and have done for several years now. The cards I’ve designed are with my wonderful granny in mind. She sadly died last year at the age of 92 but had been a service user at VisionPK. She had a lovely support worker and spoke so highly of the charity. As a family, we saw her maintain so many of her skills and hobbies, and even develop some new ones, despite her deteriorating sight.”
Katie Wylie, VisionPK’s Fundraising Manager is thrilled to launch the charity’s first Christmas card with such an inspiring local artist. She said:
“Here at VisionPK we’re all about keeping things local to Perth & Kinross and supporting our community, so having Catherine design our cards is a real honour.
“The money from the sale of the cards will go directly back to helping people with sight or hearing loss in our local area and every penny makes a real difference. We’re also hoping that sending cards to your loved ones, especially those you haven’t been able to catch up with for some time, will brighten their day all while supporting our wonderful charity.”
Cards are available to order by contacting VisionPK. Packs contain 10 cards and include both designs and cost £5 per pack. All proceeds go to VisionPK to help people in the local community who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or have hearing loss.
