VOLUNTARY Action LeicesterShire (VAL) has been awarded a new contract by the local Integrated Care Board to continue delivering the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The decision follows a competitive tender process and recognises VAL’s ongoing work to ensure the voices of women, birthing people, and families remain central to the development of maternity and neonatal services.
Through the renewed contract, VAL will continue engaging with communities across the region, with a focus on encouraging new members and volunteers to get involved in shaping local services.
The MNVP is particularly seeking to hear from individuals planning a pregnancy, those who are currently pregnant, families with babies up to two years old, and those who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss.
By sharing their experiences, participants can help influence how services are designed and delivered, ensuring they better reflect the needs of local communities.
VAL says the partnership plays a vital role in strengthening communication between families and healthcare providers, supporting continuous improvement in care.
