What is #UKCharityWeek?
#UKCharityWeek is a campaign designed to give the people of the United Kingdom an opportunity to place awareness and fundraising for charities high on the national agenda, and at a time of the year when people are statistically at their most giving.
When is #UKCharityWeek?
#UKCharityWeek is always held within the first full week of December, which in the case of 2019 is 2nd-8th December.
Why the registration fee?
As with all things in life, there are extensive costs involved in producing printed materials for fundraisers, ongoing website development costs, campaign management and administration, publicity and marketing to name just a few.
The minimal fee falls just short of covering these costs, with any loses covered by sponsorship revenue.
In order for the campaign to sustain itself over a long period of time, and to continue to help the various causes thrive with their fundraising and awareness efforts, we need to keep the campaign financially viable.
Do you accept donations?
No, the campaign does not collect donations from the public. UK charities run their own fundraising and awareness activities. The campaign’s role is to promote our partners and to support them in that regard.
We would recommend that you contact an Official Partner Charity to arrange any activities that you wish to undertake on their behalf. All are UK-registered and under the jurisdiction of the respective Charity Commissions and Fundraising Regulators of the UK.
How do I know if a charity is an Official Partner of the campaign?
If they are not on this page, then they are not an Official Partner Charity of #UKCharityWeek. However, as this is an inclusive campaign, this does not mean that they are not welcome to take part and fundraise or raise awareness for their charity. Everyone is welcome to take part and use the hashtag.
Can I use the #UKCharityWeek logo on my promotional materials?
All Official Partner Charities, Sponsors and Corporate Friends are welcome to use the brand assets. If this is not you, then you are kindly asked to adhere to the non-exclusive Brand Asset Agreement before using our branding. Please email email@example.com for an up to date copy.
