THOUSANDS of people around the UK took part in the national #UKCharityWeek celebrations last week.
The annual charity awareness campaign galvanised the country as people took part in everything from baking events to Christmas Jumper days.
Official Partner Charities made the most of the fundraising opportunities afforded to them by the resources of the campaign, and the awareness opportunities were maximised by charities all over the UK as the hashtag once again trended consistently throughout the week.
#UKCharityWeek Founder Lee Rayment said:
“We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of people. From the very first day to the last seconds of the campaign, it brought people together and got them behind some fantastic causes.
“I don’t think it could have gone any better! So next week I’ll have the team turn their attention to 2019 as we look to find new innovative ways to bring the charities and the public closer together.
“Thank you, everybody, for your support; in particular our sponsors For Good Causes, our Corporate Friends and of course, the Official Partner Charities and members of the public. I wish all readers a very merry Christmas and a very, very happy and healthy 2019!”
