The Disabilities Trust: Fun at the fair!

The Disabilities Trust service users at Hollyrood, a residential support service for people on the autism spectrum in Lindfield, invited friends, family and staff to celebrate their 20th Birthday recently. Fun included a circus skills workshop, teacup ride, singer, hook a duck and ice cream.

Service Manager Rachel Priestly said:

“What an incredible day it has been, I am proud to support the service users and their families at Hollyrood and cannot thank the staff enough for their time in setting up and organising this event. Special thanks go to the Rapid Response Team who donated the BBQ/drinks, and MoniCakes who donated our birthday cake. We couldn’t put on these types of events without the support and donations of the local community. Our service users and their families have had a truly magical (if not very tiring) day”.

Chief Executive and fellow guest Irene Sobowale also commented:

“It was a wonderful day – service users, staff and guests all had a brilliant time and even the weather held out for us! The staff at our Hollyrood service and support teams from across the rest of The Disabilities Trust did a great job organising the event, a special mention and thank you to all the local businesses who were able to support us as we celebrated Hollyrood’s 20th Birthday.”
