tappit teams up with Lawrence Dallaglio’s RugbyWorks

tappit, a specialist in cashless experiences at events, conferences and festivals, has joined forces with Dallaglio RugbyWorks Cycle Slam to help raise funds for underprivileged teenagers around the country.

The event, organised by former England and British & Ireland Lions rugby player, Lawrence Dallaglio, sees up to 200 riders commit to an epic cycling challenge taking on the French and Swiss Alps, Italian lakes and stunning scenery of Slovenia and Croatia.

The Cycle Slam is split in to three stages, totalling 1,780 km, and takes place over 19 days, comprising 15 days of cycling and four built-in rest/travel days. Lawrence Dallaglio, supported by 29 other core riders, will cycle the entire route, with each rider aiming to raise at least £15,000. They will be supported by up to 170 stage riders in their aim of raising over £1 million to help young people tackle life in a positive way.

Paul Winslow, the Chief Marketing Officer of tappit will cycle stage three of the Slam, and commented: “We’re very proud to join Lawrence and his team on this fantastic event to support RugbyWorks. Some of our Executive team have completed the event before so it was an easy decision to take our support a step further. Lawrence’s sporting pedigree is an example of where hard work and a team ethic can take you and that’s something we’ll look to inspire us both on and off the road.”

Ethan Isaac, Head of Fundraising & Communications at ‎Dallaglio RugbyWorks, added, “We are delighted to have tappit on board to support the Dallaglio Cycle Slam. Their valuable support enables us to continue to reach disadvantaged young people across the country through the RugbyWorks programme. We look forward to working closely with tappit to give our Dallaglio Cycle Slam participants and our wider audience the tappit experience.”

RugbyWorks is designed to help disengaged young people onto a positive pathway to achieve sustained education, employment or training. The programme has a particular focus on exposing them to various vocational opportunities through a three-stage journey of engagement, integration and achievement.

tappit will also bring its cashless payments experience to various fundraising events for the tour, including cashless donations to the charity.
