Success following the steps to save lives challenge

DURING the month of September, the UK’s only lifesaving charity of its kind Arrive Alive launched a fundraising challenge of ten thousand steps a day to raise vital charitable funds.

The challenge was proudly sponsored by Leap IT who offer IT services to commercial businesses across the Midlands. With the support of the sponsor, ambassadors, members of the community and even the founder of Arrive Alive donning their trainers to get their all important steps in to generate sponsors. An amazing £1550.66 has been raised which will cover the cost of the livery for the next lifesaving voluntary operated 999 vehicle which is due to be launched next month.

Debbie Roscoe from Arrive Alive said:

“Arrive Alive was massively impacted by the two-year pandemic not only were our resources of lifesaving vehicles and equipment stretched beyond comprehension but also all of our fundraising activities ceased and we became reliant on virtual events to generate charitable funds to be able to survive. I would like to personally thank Stuart and Chris from Leap IT for sponsoring the challenge in addition to everyone who took part in the steps to save lives challenge. Your support is greatly appreciated by all of the Arrive Alive team and voluntary responders that Arrive Alive supports with vehicles to support West Midlands Ambulance Service.”

Arrive Alive still has a number of lifesaving 999 vehicles to fund to join the existing fleet, each vehicle is based within a community to enable lifesaving assistance to be administered in those vital seconds and minutes prior to a road or air ambulance, which contributes towards more lives being saved.
