Stockport CP Society celebrates its new name and brand identity

Stockport CP Society are excited to announce that they’re now called ‘Supportability’ and have a new brand identity.

To support the launch of Supportability’s new name (formerly Stockport CP Society) and brand identity, their Fundraising Team held a special launch event to share the news with many of their partners and supporters.

Supportability changed their name for the best of reasons; their old name and logo no longer accurately reflected what they as an organisation offer or stand for and suggested that they were ‘Stockport’ and Cerebral Palsy focused.

The reality is that they operate across a much wider geographic area and provide services and support to disabled children and adults not just with Cerebral Palsy but also other complex physical and learning disabilities.

They’re confident that the new name of Supportability, the strapline ‘Making life better for people with disabilities’ and the up-to-date and engaging brand identity makes their service range clearer and will support them in their efforts to reach out effectively to the individuals, groups and supporters that they work with or who support them both now and into the future.

Becky Shorrock Head of Fundraising commented:

“Our new name and brand identity is such an important step for the charity going forward in terms of accurately presenting what we do in a more modern and appealing way. I was delighted to be able to share the news in person with so many of our supporters and partners. The brand was received incredibly positively on the night reaffirming our decision to change.”

“I’m delighted with the new name and identity. It’s simple, modern and represents what we do as an organisation in terms of supporting peoples innate abilities so conveying positivity and focusing on peoples abilities. I’m also pleased with how positively it’s been received by our parents & carers, service users colleagues and trustees alike.”
