Sreepur Village publishes 2025 Annual Impact Report

SREEPUR Village, the UK charity for abused, abandoned, divorced and widowed single mothers and their children in Gazipur, Bangladesh, has published its 2025 Annual Impact Report.

The report shows that 345 mothers and children were given a safe home, food, healthcare and education last year at Sreepur Village’s home in Bangladesh, known locally as Shishu Polli Plus. Since the charity was founded in 1989, it has supported 1,580 mothers and 4,314 children in total.

76 mothers and 136 children entered the charity’s rehabilitation and livelihood programme in 2025. Of the mothers who completed the programme, 49% received discharge kits to start income-generating activities, including tailoring, livestock and goat rearing, small businesses and agricultural land leasing; 12% secured employment and 38% were reintegrated into family homes.

The report also shares the personal stories of Aklima, Parul and Shipla, three mothers who found safety and a new start at Sreepur Village.

Emma Gibbs, UK Operations Manager at Sreepur Village, said:

“Our 2025 Annual Impact Report shows the real difference that safe housing, healthcare, education and vocational training can make to a mother and her children. Every figure in this report represents a life changed, and none of it would be possible without the continued support of our donors, partners and funders.”
