British Heart Foundation has officially welcomed model Olivia Arben into their Ambassador family.

To mark the occasion, Olivia hosted an exclusive dinner for the influential women in her life to celebrate this announcement.

Special guests included family members such as Olivia’s mum Karen and sister Natasha, to actress Laura Pradelska (Game of Thrones); Louisa Connolly-Burnham (Wolf Blood) and celebrity makeup artist Nathalie Eleni.

The evening was co-hosted by BHF’s Director of Marketing & Engagement, Carolan Davidge. There were speeches from one of the BHF’s most renowned female researchers Dr Suchita Nadkarni and heart patient Rehana Browne, who is living with the devastating effects of heart disease, as well as Olivia and Carolan. It was wonderful to see an inspiring group of women coming together to show their support for the BHF’s groundbreaking research.

Olivia has experienced first hand the devastating impact of heart and circulatory diseases.

Olivia Arben was 16 years old when she lost her dad to heart disease. Olivia has been dedicated to working with the British Heart Foundation since 2017, taking part in various retail campaigns; #BoughtAtBHF; Christmas party wear; and being the BHF face of the Spring / Summer 2019 clothing range.

Olivia Arben announced as BHF Ambassador

Olivia said: “Losing my father was a real shock for my family especially as he was previously seemingly very healthy and athletic with no recorded health issues. After he died we found out he had underlying heart disease which sadly didn’t present any signs until it was too late. Awareness of underlying conditions such as heart and circulatory diseases is key for aiding prevention and treatment which is why for me raising awareness of the British Heart Foundation’s statistics and research is so important and I hope to do this through my social media platform and through continued campaigns for the BHF in the future.”
