The team behind a former award-winning charity that now finds themselves at the helm of the company, Sinclair Method UK, have thrown their support behind this year’s UK Charity Week 2021 campaign to become the Main Sponsor.
Sinclair Method UK provides a consultation service for The Sinclair Method and email, telephone, and online video support.
The Sinclair Method is a treatment for alcohol misuse, which uses the NHS-approved and non-addictive medications Naltrexone or Nalmefene (Selincro). These medications can help you gradually decrease your alcohol consumption, right down to abstinence.
Joanna Duyvenvoorde, Director of Sinclair Method UK, said:
“Sinclair Method UK is thrilled to be sponsoring UK Charity Week this year. 2020 and 2021 have been difficult for many charities, and it is only fitting that we do everything we can to help them as they shift from survival mode to a renewed focus on growing their services for those in need.
“But it hasn’t only been difficult for charities: we have all struggled with a range of issues, resulting in increased stress, increased loneliness, and for some, increased alcohol consumption to help them cope. Sponsoring UK Charity Week not only helps us help charities; it also raises awareness of The Sinclair Method – a medication-based treatment to help reduce alcohol consumption in those who wish to regain control over their drinking or even stop drinking altogether.”
UK Charity Week (or #UKCharityWeek) is an annual charity campaign designed to allow the people of the United Kingdom to place awareness and fundraising for charities high on the national agenda, and at a time of the year when people are statistically at their most giving.
Speaking about the new partnership UK Charity Week Founder Lee B. Rayment said:
“We are delighted that Sinclair Method UK has stepped forward to support this year’s campaign. We have enjoyed a good working-relationship with Joanna and her colleagues for many years.
“Although the team at Sinclair Method UK acknowledge they are not offering anything directly to charities, I think it says a lot about the team and their kindness to get behind the campaign to support its ethos and UK charities. We are looking forward to their input for the campaign and working together for the greater good.”
