LOUISE Parkes who is currently a corporate director at Barnardo’s will take up the role of chief executive at the Great Ormond St Hospital in May.
Parkes is replacing Tim Johnson who is leaving the position in March and will bring with her a vast array of charity experience having worked with a number of other leading charities in the past.
In a statement, Parkes said she was joining the charity at an exciting time:
“I have seen first-hand the extraordinary work the hospital makes to the lives of seriously ill children. I look forward to leading the charity to continue its endeavour to support one of the best children’s hospitals in the world.”
