FRESH from winning the Champions League and the Premier League Academy Graduate Award in recognition of his achievements on the pitch for Chelsea and inspiring charity work off it, Together for Short Lives’ Patron Mason Mount is asking his fans and followers to take on a challenge in aid of the UK’s children’s hospices and the seriously ill children they support.

Mason’s Pushed to the Limits 54 keepie uppie challenge represents the 54 children’s hospice services that support children with serious illnesses and their families. It’s being launched during Children’s Hospice Week (21 –  27 June 2021), which is the only week of the year dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospices.

Since becoming Patron of the charity in January 2021, Mason has been working hard to raise awareness and money to help Together for Short Lives reach out and support more families caring for children with life-limiting conditions.

In the video message, Mason said:

“Join me in showing support for Children’s Hospice Week by pushing yourself to the limit. Let’s see how many keepie uppies you can do!”

Caring for a child with serious health needs can be exhausting – and often, the challenges families face are little understood. At the same time, children’s hospices are being pushed to their limits too – with more and more children in need of their care. This year for Children’s Hospice Week Together for Short Lives is asking supporters to push themselves to the limits – so children’s hospices aren’t pushed to theirs.

To get involved in Mason’s keepie uppie challenge, individuals are asked to record themselves and share it across their social channels using the #ChildrensHospiceWeek hashtag, tagging in Mason, Together for Short Lives (links below), and not forgetting to nominate others to get involved too.

They can also donate online after they’ve taken part here.

So, will you take on the challenge?
