A man was jailed this week after admitting fraudulently obtaining £60,000 from the Tayforth Veterans Project he helped set up in 2011.

James Reilly, 66, was jailed by the Dundee Sheriff Court as shocked former friends and comrades looked on.

Reilly was employed as a peer support worker for Veterans First Point, who is partly run by NHS Tayside.

Following sentencing, an NHS Tayside spokesman said: “NHS Tayside is currently following due management process concerning this individual.”
