On Sunday 21st September, the River Cam will be awash with 20,000 bright pink rubber ducks as the Pink Duck Race makes its UK debut, celebrating 25 years of the Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839).
This joyful, eye-catching event is raising funds and awareness for those affected by breast cancer across the UK. Following huge success in Belgium and Tenerife, Cambridge was chosen for its beauty, rowing legacy, and incredible community spirit.
The race promises a fantastic afternoon in front of the City of Cambridge Rowing Club (12–4pm), with street food, family activities, and even surprise guests. Plus, the first Pink Duck to cross the finish line will win its adopter a stunning bespoke Golden Duck set with diamonds, generously sponsored by Hatton Garden diamond expert Lewis Malka London.
It costs just £5 to adopt a Pink Duck, with every adoption supporting vital breast cancer causes. And you don’t have to be in Cambridge to take part – the race will be live streamed, so supporters across the UK (and around the world!) can join the fun, adopt a duck, and watch the action unfold in real time.
And yes – every duck is retrieved and reused, making the event fun, meaningful, and environmentally responsible.
