Make It Count – the active challenge for everybody

SCOPE, the disability equality charity, has launched a new, inclusive fundraising challenge called Make It Count. It’s taking place between the 24 August and 5 September 2021, alongside the Paralympic Games.

Co-designed with disabled people and disability sports experts, Make It Count is accessible and open to all – disabled and non-disabled people, fitness fanatics and nervous newbies.

Many other challenges focus on setting a distance, a number of steps or doing a specific activity. Make It Count is different, it’s all about clocking up minutes, getting active how you want and where you want, any time between the 24 August and the 5 September.

The challenge will champion inclusivity in sport and physical activity, celebrating opportunities from other organisations for disabled people to get more active. We hope it will inspire more disabled people to find new ways to get active in a way that’s right for them and raise awareness of the importance of disability inclusion.

It’s free to sign up, and there’s no minimum fundraising target. All funds raised will support Scope’s work fighting for equality for disabled people and providing vital support and information for disabled people and their families.

For more information, please visit the Make It Count website: https://makeitcount.scope.org.uk/.

However you get moving, every minute counts. Start the clock!
