BUSINESSES in Milton Keynes are being urged to join the MK Dons Community Trust’s Friends of the Trust scheme.
Friends of the Trust is an initiative which aims to raise vital funds for the Trust to deliver positive change to the lives of people in the Milton Keynes community.
The scheme offers a unique opportunity for companies to give back to the community through charity-focused sports and education programs and support important causes.
It also gives businesses the chance to build stronger connections with the local community and make a lasting difference to people’s lives.
Membership costs help support the upkeep of facilities used by 10,000 people every month. It also contributes to the employment of 58 staff and the delivery of a range of programmes, including those that have benefited 1,091 people with additional needs.
Neves Solicitors, a local law firm with an office in Bradwell Common, have been Friends of the Trust for over five years and is now encouraging other businesses to join them.
Stewart Matthews, Managing Partner at Neves Solicitors, said supporting the local community was one of the main reasons the firm chose to become a Friend of the Trust.
Matthews said:
“We wanted to support community initiatives in the area and help others.
“MK Dons Community Trust stood out because it offers such a broad range of initiatives that extends beyond sports.
“So, for us, it is the combination of being local and the wide range of work that the Trust does that makes it a really good fit.”
For signing up, companies receive a range of benefits to promote their brand, improve staff engagement and support personal development.
There are four different package options for businesses ranging from under £1000 to £5000, with benefits scaling up the more the company contributes.
Membership perks include a tour of Stadium MK, promotion of the company logo on MK Dons Community Trust’s website and newsletter, access to trust events and a minimum of four tickets for MK Dons EFL home matches.
Gold members, who pay £5000, also get a signed MK Dons shirt, a player visit to their company and a visit to the training ground for company staff.
There are further sponsorship packages available for specific projects.
The money raised through the Friends of the Trust scheme helps MK Dons Community Trust provide inclusive, inspiring and impactful opportunities to more than 50,000 people aged between three and 96 each year, bringing people together through sport, education and community engagement.
Matthews added:
