THE major participation experience company, LimeLight Sports Club, has announced that JustGiving, the world’s leading online giving platform, will be the official online fundraising partner for its 7 major sporting events across the UK.
Over 100,000 people are expected to participate in all events in 2021 to fundraise an estimated £5 million for over 400 different charity partners.
With mass participation events set to return in 2021, LimeLight Sports Club has launched a new charity programme. Charities can secure places for their supporters in each of the seven LimeLight Sports Club events: ASICS London 10K, London Triathlon, London Duathlon, Blenheim Palace Triathlon, Etape Caledonia, Hackney Half and Oxford Half marathons.
Charity partners for 2021 include national charities Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan Cancer Support, and causes local to each of the events, such as St. Mungo’s and Oxfordshire Mind. The charity programme is open for even more charities to become partners and maximise fundraising from mass – participation events.
With a combined 50 years of experience working with charities and their supporters, the partnership between LimeLight Sports Club and JustGiving will convert more participants into fundraisers by combining the events they are excited to take part in with the giving platform they know and trust, helping them to go on and raise more than ever for the great causes that matter most to them.
James Robinson, Managing Director of LimeLight Sports Club, said:
“We are excited to partner with JustGiving to help our participants and charity partners maximise the fundraising opportunity of our mass – participation events. Our partnerships are purposeful, we know the charity sector has come under tremendous strain in the past 12 months, so fundraising is more important than ever.”
Cancer Research UK has also become the official charity partner for the renowned Blenheim Palace Triathlon that takes place on 11-12 September 2021!
A team of 300 places is available in this sold-out event exclusively through Cancer Research UK. Money raised by participants will help fund the charity’s life-saving work to beat cancer.
Gareth Mulcahy, Head of Events and Sports at Cancer Research UK, said:
“We’re delighted to be the charity partner for the Blenheim Palace Triathlon. The money raised through this partnership will help us continue our life-saving work, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who takes part.”
