Lifesaving charity Arrive Alive trustee awarded MscJ medal

THE UK’s only charity dedicated to supporting Community First Responders approved and trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service celebrates Trustee being awarded Order of St John Serving Brother – MscJ medal.

Charity trustee Peter Armitage MBE has been awarded a Service Medal of the Order of St John Serving Brother, he is also the President of Lichfield and Tamworth St Johns Ambulance. Peter is also a long-standing Community Champion for Royal Mail.

Arrive Alive is Britain’s only registered charity solely dedicated to funding vital lifesaving vehicles and equipment for Community First Responders (CFR’s). CFR’s are medically trained volunteers who are regulated and dispatched to frontline life-threatening 999 calls by West Midlands Ambulance Service and can arrive at the scene of a medical emergency in those vital minutes prior to a road or air ambulance due to being directly based within the heart of the local community.

Peter Armitage MBE Trustee of Arrive Alive said:

“To be Trustee of such an amazing lifesaving charity such as Arrive Alive is wonderful, in addition to being President of St Johns Ambulance in Lichfield and Tamworth is a true honour. I have previously worked in the medical profession prior to joining Royal Mail, I am a proud ambassador and supporter of the work the lifesaving volunteers do within the communities across the UK, these vital charities help to save lives within the community. I do the charity work out of a sheer passion for these causes, I am truly humbled to be awarded with such an amazing award of an MscJ.”
