CHARITY Today and Give A Little, a leading cashless donation software platform, have announced a new partnership that will see the latter become an Official Partner of the national charity campaign, UK Charity Week, organised by Charity Today.
Give A Little is building a world-leading point of donation software platform, which helps over 4,000 charities of all sizes collect cashless donations. In joining forces with Charity Today and UK Charity Week, Give A Little will strengthen its position as a leading supporter of the sector while offering an unparalleled service to UK charities.
As a part of the partnership, Give A Little will be the host sponsor of UK Charity Week’s Give 5 Day (Tues 6 December), undertaking numerous activities throughout the day, including a webinar on how charities can get started with cashless giving and maximise their donation revenues.
As well as this, Give A Little will have a column on Charity Today and provide insightful content for readers of the publication.
Speaking about the partnership, Give A Little’s Co-Founder, Ben Stewart told Charity Today:
“Building a community of charities and helping them navigate the complexities of cashless technologies while minimising the cost barrier for charities moving to cashless, is at the heart of Give A Little’s ethos. We felt that Lee and the UK Charity Week team really understood our approach and are also focused on community engagement and building. Partnering with them on UK Charity Week was, therefore, an easy decision and we are looking forward to our involvement.”
Charity Today editor Lee Rayment, who is also the founder of UK Charity Week, said:
“When I first met with Ben and Vicky at Give A Little, their passion and empathy for helping others were infectious. Ensuring our partners align with our values and aims is deeply important.
“As we move to a cashless society and charities are having to adapt, Give A Little is serving a great need by integrating the latest cashless technologies so charities don’t have to. UK Charity Week and Give 5 Day will certainly be better for having Give A Little’s involvement and support.”
Give A Little came about after its parent company, Caution Your Blast (CYB), a digital transformation practice, worked with BT in 2016 to develop the first contactless donation solution with a touch screen – the Digital Tin. Trials of the Digital Tin were very successful, with charities like Comic Relief, Cancer Research and UNICEF loving the solution. Through this important work, CYB identified that smaller charities needed the support of a sponsor to be able to afford contactless donation solutions as the cost of entry was too high, sometimes even for bigger charities. So Give A Little was set up to drive down the cost of accessing cashless donations for charities of all sizes, as it was out of reach for many.
Now Give A Little services over 4,000 charities of all sizes, and has just celebrated reaching the milestone of helping charities raise £10m in donations through the platform.
There are currently three ways that charities can use Give A Little for cashless fundraising (charities can use one, or use a combination, of the below options):
1 – DIY approach – by combining an Android smartphone or tablet with the Give A Little App and a payment card reader
2 – Donation station – charities can purchase a donation station or kiosk from one of Give A Little’s device partners, CollecTin or Payaz, which are installed with Give A Little software
3 – Online giving – charities can create unlimited Web campaigns, share via social media, and download QR codes enabling donors to donate easily through a digital wallet (Apple Pay and/ or Google Pay)
