A unique fundraising event fronted by Taskmaster creator and British comedian (Little) Alex Horne will see a stellar cast of YouTubers and content creators come together to raise vital funds to help build a world-leading new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
In a brand new and exclusive live-streamed event, the award-winning and much-loved British comedy show, now in its 22nd series, will unleash a line-up of popular YouTubers and content creators as they take on an eclectic array of tasks – all in the name of raising as much money as possible to support seriously ill children going through cancer.
Taking place on Saturday 5 September and streamed to millions globally across multiple platforms including Taskmaster’s YouTube channel and Twitch, Taskmaster Live Stream: GOSH Charity Edition will bring together 10 top digital influencers including TommyInnit, MatPat, Ayamé and Hayley Morris as they compete in teams of two for ultimate glory.
Alongside the competition hosted by Alex Horne and comedian Jake Bhardwaj, the live stream will invite viewers to join in the chaotic fun that Taskmaster fans have come to know and love, as well as show their support by digging deep to help raise as much money as possible.
All funds raised will go towards helping to build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH, a state-of-the-art facility that will help give seriously ill children going through cancer the best chance and best childhood possible. The centre will bring specialist care, cutting-edge facilities
To launch this unique event, Alex recently visited GOSH to meet families who are currently facing a cancer diagnosis and saw first-hand the difference the funds raised will make.

One of the patients Alex met whilst at the hospital was 12-year-old Alannah, who is undergoing treatment at GOSH for a rare cardiac tumour. Alannah and her dad Kieron are big fans of Taskmaster and were excited to receive their very own, bespoke task in the iconic red wax-sealed envelope direct from the Taskmaster (assistant) himself.
Alannah said:
“Meeting Alex was really cool, especially as we’ve seen him on TV a lot – I think my dad was even more excited! Alex was really funny and gave me my own task to try. When I’m staying on the wards for treatment, having different things to do really helps the time go quicker. We had a really good chat, and I’m definitely planning on tuning into the livestream with my family in September.”
Kieron added:
“I was really struck by how genuine and down-to-earth Alex is, and it was great to have a bit of a laugh with him while we’re staying at GOSH. The livestreamed fundraiser sounds incredible, and I know first-hand how transformational the new Children’s Cancer Centre will be. I hope we can all come together and raise as much money as possible so kids and young people like Alannah can be treated in the very best facilities.”
