Tenovus Cancer Care is delighted to announce Wales and Dragons rugby player Cory Hill has become an official patron of the charity.
He joins celebrities including Rob Brydon, Connie Fisher, Wynne Evans and Sian Lloyd as a patron of Wales’ leading cancer charity.
Cory will be involved in a number of campaigns and fundraising events over the next two years and has kindly chosen Tenovus Cancer Care as his nominated charity for the Dragons’ captain’s golf day later this year.
“I am very proud to become a patron for Tenovus Cancer Care and look forward to helping to raise the profile of the charity and its excellent work for cancer patients and their families.
“Sadly like many people in Wales, my family has been affected by cancer and I understand the impact it can have on people’s lives.
“Tenovus Cancer Care’s work in communities across Wales has never been more vital and I am pleased to be able to help in any way I can.”
Claudia McVie, Tenovus Cancer Care Chief Executive, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled that Cory has accepted our invitation to become an official patron of the charity.
“He recently visited our head office in Cardiff and has shown a real interest in the work we do and how he can get involved.
“We are really looking forward to working with Cory on some exciting campaigns and events in the near future.”
