Clear Sky Impact Report 2019-2020

CLEAR Sky celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary this June and so our Impact Report this year is a rather special one!

Over the past 12 months we have launched our professional learning body, ‘The Institute for Play and Attachment’ and have attracted members from around the globe. Through the Institute we have been delighted to present online learning modules on a range of topics from experts both here in the UK and overseas. The Institute also provides our membership with self-care, access to research and resources to help them as family practitioners to support schools and families!

In February we launched a learning platform for schools, providing them with therapeutic tools to support emotional health. We provided this resource to our partner schools just in time for lockdown so that teachers could take advantage of remote learning whilst boosting their understanding of dealing with mental health and childhood trauma.

We trained 78 professionals this year at our face to face training events in Oxfordshire and were delighted to be joined by colleagues from all over the UK and as far afield as Malaysia! We are hoping to make the return journey in 2021 to provide face to face training for practitioners there and to spread the brilliant work that has now started in the region!

We worked with many schools and teachers this year, training partners at the National Education Union in our Space to Shine programme.

Fundraising has been a highlight this year, with us smashing our target and exceeding our expectations. We are fortunate to have many wonderful supporters who seem to be up for the challenge when it comes to raising funds for vulnerable children!

Of course, at the heart of Clear Sky is our work with children and we were pleased to have continued to provide support to families throughout a testing few months of lockdown by providing a mis of remote support, practical resources and where possible, face to face therapeutic sessions.
