As we head towards our long-awaited break for Christmas, here at Clear Sky we are busy preparing for another incredibly busy year ahead.
2021 has been a year of ups and downs for us all. We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderful team who have worked tirelessly throughout the year, providing services to vulnerable children, support for families and schools and training for professionals. We have seen the number of children referred to us this year hit its highest ever levels, which will come as no surprise in the current environment, and we have also recorded a huge number of professionals attending our two day training events, online CPD and one-day seminars.
Highlights of the year for us were definitely being able to get back into the training space and deliver face to face courses, and the generosity of our supporters! We have had several generous offers, fundraisers, and donations come to us out of the blue this year and we are deeply grateful that the importance of Clear Sky’s work clearly resonates in our local community and beyond!
Next year for us sees us working in over 30 Oxfordshire schools and delivering training to large cohorts of family practitioner professionals around the country. Our Institute for Play and Attachment is attracting some really interesting learning contributions from sector experts, and we look forward to growing this community further and to reaching more professionals who work to support children and families.
With a new shiny website in development for the New Year, streamlined processes and the progression to delivering many services digitally, our central team has been on a steep learning curve this year too and will be more than ready for a rest before we hit the ground running in January.
We were really lucky to be able to enjoy a Christmas gathering with most of our therapy team to thank them before the end of term. We enjoyed a lovely creative festive morning, making Christmas cards and decorations, courtesy of a lovely lady who donated a huge amount of gorgeous craft materials to us. The team were delighted to take away a host of arts and crafts materials at the end of the day, which they will make great use of in their therapeutic sessions! A lovely festive lunch and some mulled wine helped the day to go with a swing!
We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us this year, and given us the motivation to be even ambitious in our plans for 2022!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
