CHILDREN from across the area have been unfaltering in their efforts to raise funds for the WHH Charity over recent months – running, skipping, cycling, taking part in all manner of sponsored challenges to raise funds to help the patients and staff at Warrington & Halton’s Hospital sites.
Lots of children and teenagers have also spent time making items and donating them to the charity to bring a smile to those in need and the charity wants to say “Thank You & please keep it up!”
Helen Higginson, Head of Fundraising, WHH Charity said:
“We have received so many lovely handcrafted items from children – poems, cards, key rings, pictures which are so well received. We have also been hugely grateful to all the children who have been fundraising for us by doing lots of different challenges.
“The message from us is a massive thank you and please don’t stop! We need your support more than ever as we learn to operate our hospitals with new restrictions and visiting on our wards continues to be suspended.”

At the start of the pandemic, the WHH Charity pledged to send patients home with a bag of shopping and those in need of them with a fresh set of clothes. While family visits are still limited patients need this support more than ever and the charity wants to continue to this for patients when they are discharged to make their lives a little easier as they settle back into their homes.
