Children’s Disability Charity Launches New Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration Service

CPotential in north London is launching yet another highly sought-after rehabilitation service for disabled children and their families. Occupational Therapy will commence today with a special introductory offer of a free assessment and 25% off each session booked.

This brand-new expert-led service will benefit children with movement disorders due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, global developmental delay and acquired brain injury. It will also help children with mild autism.

Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration helps children develop the functional skills needed for everyday activities. It improves a child’s awareness, engagement and ability to play and learn, boosting self-esteem, confidence and independence.

Occupational Therapist, Paula Godfrey, will be heading up the service and has gained over 20 years of extensive experience working with children and families and developing services in the NHS, across education and the charity sector.

Chris Smith, a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at CPotential, said:

“After months of planning, I’m so excited to introduce Paula and to launch our sensory integration service. This occupational therapy led service will further enhance what we can offer and represents another string to our bow in providing holistic therapy.”

Paula is passionate about supporting children’s participation in activities and routines that they need and want to do, like getting dressed, feeding, learning at school and playing with peers.

When asked about joining CPotential, Paula said:

“I am really excited to be joining a likeminded team. I’m really looking forward to offering an affordable and accessible service that reflects the charity’s values and ethos – of the whole family being supported to enable children to reach their potential and beyond!”.

CPotential is a one-stop-shop of rehabilitation services for children with movement disorders. The charity also offers physiotherapy, conductive education, music therapy, rebound therapy, counselling, wellbeing coaching, funding support and educational advice. Speech and language therapy and advanced hi-tech equipment are on the horizon in the Summer.
