THE national charity Shine has welcomed Charlotte Griggs as its new Community Specialist Fundraiser.

Charlotte will be working with communities across the country, particularly with schools, to raise awareness and funds for Shine’s work to help families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

Charlotte, who hails from Peterborough and lives in St Neots, is a hands-on person who enjoys and excels at building relationships. She brings much experience to the role. As Operations Manager with New Ark Play Association in Peterborough, a charity offering a pre-school and support service for children, Charlotte engaged many corporates and volunteers to give their time, skill and financial support to help the charity’s income significantly increase during this time. Charlotte also brings broad experience with Thomas Cook Travelex.

Delighted to be taking on the new role with Shine, Charlotte said:

“When you are passionate about something you bring people with you, and I am really looking forward to working with our members and supporters who are so very passionate about what Shine does to help people get the best out of life.”

Charlotte has another skill up her sleeve, as a self-taught florist who has catered for more than 30 weddings and funerals.

Charlotte lives in St Neots with her partner and a very well behaved house rabbit named Pepperooni.
