Charity Today’s Editor’s News Desk launches with first episode now live

The first episode of Charity Today’s Editor’s News Desk is now live, marking the launch of a new weekly update from Charity Today TV.

The Editor’s News Desk will be published every Thursday afternoon and will offer a direct, informal look at charity sector stories, updates, campaigns and key developments from across the UK.

The format is deliberately simple. It is not intended to be overly produced or heavily polished. Instead, the focus will be on clear, useful charity news, delivered in a way that feels timely, accessible and connected to the sector.

Charity Today Editor Lee Rayment said:

“I am not the most confident speaker you will ever meet, but I want to do this. I believe in Charity Today, I believe in the work of our members, and I believe there is real value in creating another regular platform where charity news can be shared.

“This is not about trying to create something perfect from day one. It is about showing up, building something useful, and improving as we go. As I grow in confidence, I hope the episodes will grow with me.

“The charity sector is full of incredible people, campaigns and community impact, and we want the Editor’s News Desk to become another way of helping those stories reach more people.”

Charity Today members are being encouraged to send their stories into the team for possible inclusion in future episodes. This could include campaign updates, fundraising news, charity milestones, community impact stories, new appointments, appeals, events and other developments worth sharing with the wider sector.

The Editor’s News Desk will sit alongside Charity Today’s wider news coverage, helping to give more regular visibility to the people, causes and organisations making a difference across the UK.
