Charity specialist appointed as a supplier by Crown Commercial Service

NC Insurance, the leading independent insurance broker and sister brand of not-for-profit specialists, Third Sector Protect, has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Insurance and Related Services 3 framework and specifically, lot 1 – brokerage and related services.

The framework encompasses the provision of insurance services for the UK public sector and associated bodies and agencies including the voluntary sector and charities. With streamlined buying processes and a small number of pre-vetted suppliers, third sector organisations can feel confident that CCS appointed vendors such as NC Insurance will be ideally suited to help them gain the advice, protection and best value pricing.

Richard Lloyd, Account Director at NC Insurance said:

“Our not-for-profit division, Third Sector Protect, work with third sector organisations, including national charities, and add value well beyond insurance savings. Being appointed as a supplier by the CCS now means that charities and others in the voluntary sector can receive the same peace of mind that that the public sector organisations we work with receive.”

Joanne Smithson, Director, People & Resources at the Institute of Fundraising (IoF):

“We chose Third Sector Protect as our insurance broker because they have a great track record in working with and understanding the needs of charities. Joining us as our latest corporate supporter member, combined with this excellent news about their sister company, NC Insurance, demonstrates their commitment to best practice in the sector.”

CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth £945m – supporting world-class public services that offer the best value for taxpayers.
