YORKSHIRE-based children’s charity, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, has been named among the first 1,600 charities in the UK to adopt the Fundraising Regulator’s newly updated Code of Fundraising Practice, which came into effect on 1 November.
The updated code forms part of the Fundraising Regulator’s wider commitment to improving transparency, safeguarding donors, and strengthening public confidence in charitable fundraising. Its launch coincides with the regulator’s new online directory, which gives supporters clearer oversight of organisations that adhere to best practice standards.
The Principle Trust provides vital respite breaks for children across Yorkshire facing adverse childhood experiences such as mental health challenges, trauma, abuse, poverty, serious illness or disabilities. As an early adopter of the updated code, the charity is now in the process of updating all its public-facing assets to include the Fundraising Regulator’s refreshed logo, reaffirming its pledge to responsible and ethical fundraising.
