British Polio Fellowship announce new Chief Executive Officer

THE British Polio Fellowship (BPF) has announced the appointment of Kripen Dhrona as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Kripen has been a key member of the Fellowship for seven years. He joined BPF in 2014, as Marketing and Communications Officer and was soon promoted to Marketing and Campaigns Manager to raise the profile of BPF and those living with the late effects of polio and Post-Polio Syndrome.

In 2018, Kripen stepped up to the role of Operations Manager, working in all areas of the charity and then joined the Senior Management Team as Operations Director.

Reflecting on his appointment, Kripen said:

“I am honoured and excited to have been selected to lead BPF.

“We have a large membership base, a solid reputation and a winning strategy that will enable us to grow. Building further on our success is a challenge I accept with confidence, determination and fierce ambition. I am passionately committed to campaigning to raise awareness of PPS among healthcare professionals, members of parliament and the general public.”

Gordon Richardson, Acting Chair of the British Polio Fellowship explained:

“I’m delighted that Kripen has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. He has a huge amount of incredibly valuable experience, and the Board of Trustees is looking forward to working with him to take the charity through its next era of development and impact.”

Many of Kripen’s day-to-day duties will now be taken on by Matthew Thomas, Operations Officer and Carol Levin, the new Communications and Information Officer.
