GORILLA Coffee Cafe and Cycle Club have taken on local lifesaving charity Arrive Alive as their chosen charity for 2022.
Gorilla Coffee Cafe is based in Kings Heath complete with a workshop and are opening another branch in Brindley Place in addition to working with the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Bruno from Gorilla Coffee Cafe and Cycle Club said:
“Gorilla Coffee Cafe are immensely proud to be fundraising for Arrive Alive in 2022. As a cafe and cycling club based in Kings Heath, we believe in giving back to the local community, and what better way than help Arrive Alive, a charity reliant on public donations, to purchase lifesaving vehicles for the volunteer first responders. This is something which is close to our hearts, as cyclists, we ride on roads all the time and have all seen or been involved in traffic accidents, so anything to help speed up response times if we are hurt and need assistance has got to be a good thing.”
Arrive Alive is Britain’s only registered charity of its kind solely dedicated to funding vital lifesaving vehicles and equipment for Community First Responders (CFR’s). CFR’s are medically trained volunteers who are regulated and dispatched to frontline life-threatening 999 calls by West Midlands Ambulance Service. An Arrive Alive vehicle can be at the scene of a medical emergency within those vital seconds/minutes prior to a road or air ambulance due to being based within the community.
