THE British Heart Foundation (BHF) has partnered with some of the UK’s favourite brands this February to help save lives all over the UK.
Tesco, Omaze, PureGym, Travelodge, Royal Mail, Crew Clothing, Next and allbeauty are joining the BHF in their mission, by pledging to raise funds and awareness this Heart Month.
Together with their brand partners, the BHF is encouraging the public to help save lives by learning CPR via their RevivR tool and help save lives tomorrow by raising funds for research into heart and circulatory diseases.
Alison Mitchell, Head of Partnerships at the British Heart Foundation said:
“The BHF funds lifesaving programmes and research to find new treatments and cures for heart and circulatory conditions, which affect 7.6 million people in the UK. But this is only possible due to the generous support and donations of the public and our corporate partners.
“We’re delighted to work with incredible brands like Tesco, Omaze, PureGym, Travelodge, Royal Mail, Crew Clothing, Next and allbeauty this Heart Month, to help the BHF save more lives today, tomorrow and for many years to come.”
As part of our helping you to live healthier partnership with Tesco, this Heart month, we are joining forces to inspire the nation to take care of their heart health. Tesco will be helping hearts all over the UK by sharing recipes on Tesco Real Food online that support heart health whilst also encouraging customers to get a free blood pressure check at their Tesco pharmacies. They are also encouraging colleagues and customers to learn lifesaving CPR with the BHF’s RevivR tool.
Omaze, the online charity fundraising platform, is currently partnering with the BHF during Heart Month to offer one lucky person the chance to win a stunning £3 million house in North London. As well as making its grand prize winner a multi-millionaire, the London II House Draw is aiming to raise a minimum of £500,000 for the British Heart Foundation – enough to fund a BHF research project for over three years.
This February also marks one year since the launch of PureGym’s partnership with the BHF. To celebrate Heart Month, PureGym is donating £100,000 to the charity. The UK’s leading gym chain will be hosting a ‘Love Your Heart’ week on 13th February where gyms from across the nation will be hosting a range of fundraising activities including raffles, sweepstakes, coffee mornings and charity classes to get your heart pumping.
Travelodge has been working with the BHF to save lives today by encouraging their guests to learn CPR. Guests can scan the RevivR QR code in over 43,000 of Travelodge’s UK hotel rooms and learn CPR in just 15 mins.
Hearts won’t just be featured on cards this Valentine’s Day. Following the announcement of a four-year national charity partnership with the BHF, the nation’s postal service will also be applying a special postmark to stamped mail for the duration of the association. The postmark will read: Royal Mail supporting heart health with BHF/bhf.org.uk and will begin running from the beginning of February.
British lifestyle brand, Crew Clothing will be celebrating its 30th Valentine’s by donating £1 to the BHF on a wide range of products from the 1 to 27 February. The selected styles include Crew’s classic polo and Oxford shirts in powder pinks, red floral dresses, ditsy print blouses and cool casual styles in fuchsia. Special heart tags will be placed on items supporting the month, both in-store and online.
Meanwhile, Next has launched a stunning charity bouquet this February. The beautiful bouquet filled with cerise roses, lilac tulips and pink ranunculus is bound to brighten someone’s day and, with 10% of sales being donated to the BHF, you’re helping save hearts all over the UK too.
