LEE Rayment, the founder of the country’s leading national charity campaign, UK Charity Week, has today announced details of a micro-mergence between two of the country’s most prestigious national charity projects; the Charity Today Awards and UK Charity Week.
In brief, the mergence will see the winner of Charity Today’s Charity of the Year award come from a charity on the UK Charity Week’s Official Partner Register.
Charity stalwart Lee Rayment has cited the desire to establish longterm meaningful relationships with the Official Partner Charities as the leading reason for his decision, although he believes it will also ensure the awards can become even more diligent in its appraisals as a result.
Rayment said: “Most award programmes are judged largely on paper entries, this slight shift in process for the Charity of the Year will ensure we are rewarding a charity that has shown over a period of time a commitment to our projects and more importantly the objectives of its own organisation, as we will see firsthand the charities that value our relationship and efforts for them through our various platforms.”
