A 90-year-old lady from Ardvar in Sutherland has climbed her stairs 282 times which is the equivalent of the 2,398 feet mountain Suilven she first scaled aged 15.

Margaret Payne has lived in the Highlands for over 40 years and wanted to raise funds to support the NHS, NHS Highlands, Highland Hospice and RNLI charities.

The total amount fundraised currently stands just over £400,000 with Gift Aid!

Margaret said:

“Everyone’s generosity incredibly humbles me. Thank you all for your support!”

The challenge was taken on by Margaret to express her gratitude to NHS and hospice staff who took care of her late husband Jim.

You can still donate to Margaret’s fundraising efforts here.
