THE Army Motorcycle Team, Leicestershire Blood Bikes, Biker Down UK and a Leicestershire Police Escort recently joined forces with motorcyclist fundraisers, raising more than £5,000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
200 riders and passengers from across the UK took part in a 37-mile ride on bikes of all shapes, sizes, makes and models, with the ride starting and finishing at The Triumph Factory Visitor Experience in Hinkley.
Simon Ferrier, Liaison Officer for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, said:
“It’s been such a long time since we’ve been able to hold a large-scale event, and it has been wonderful to get out and about meeting supporters. Events such as this enable ABF The Soldiers’ Charity to continue to be here for soldiers, veterans and their families, for life – huge thanks to everyone who took part and to our amazing volunteers who made it all happen.”
Simon Thrussell, Head of Customer Experience at Triumph Motorcycles, added:
“This is the first big event we’ve had since early 2020, so it’s great to see everyone back, enjoying themselves safely and for a great cause. Thank you to all those who have attended and supported the event.”
